Russian troops actually launched a spring-summer offensive in the Donetsk and Zaporozhye regions, but in a day and a half they lost more than 900 soldiers.
This was announced by the commander of the Forces of unmanned systems Robert “Magyar” Brovdi, informs the portal PromPolitInform.
According to him, the intensification of hostilities took place on a front section with a length of about 100 km – from Rodinsky to Gulyaypol.
The offensive was accompanied by worsening weather conditions, which the Russian troops used to resume the assault.
The first enemy assault groups, operating under the cover of bad weather, were destroyed before midnight on March 17.
In the morning, the enemy turned to massive attacks with the use of infantry, equipment and motorcycles in several directions.
On March 17, Ukrainian drones hit more than 500 invaders, another 277 – in the night and morning of March 18.
In total, for a day and a half, the losses of Russian troops exceeded 900 people.
At the same time, according to Brovdi, the enemy did not succeed – he did not break through any of the front sections.
Recall that units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine on March 16 and on the night of March 17 launched a series of attacks on key military facilities of the Russian army. Among the targets hit are an anti-aircraft missile system, the Bastion coastal missile system concentration area, a communications center and military logistics facilities.

The total combat losses of the Russian army in the war against Ukraine since February 24, 2022 are about 1,277,620 military. Over the past day, Ukrainian defenders eliminated another 860 invaders.
