Critical and social infrastructure facilities are switching to alternative power sources.
As a result of the attack by Russian invaders, most of Chernihiv region has been cut off from power. This was reported by the local OVA on the morning of Saturday, March 21, Korespondent.net reports. The PromPolitInform portal reports.
“In the morning, the enemy attacked a power facility in the Nizhyn district. Most of Chernihiv region is currently without power supply. Power engineers have already started emergency restoration work,” the message says.
It is indicated that communities where there is temporarily no electricity are operating according to defined and already proven algorithms – critical and social infrastructure facilities are switching to alternative power sources.
The press service of the Chernihiv City Council reported that Chernihiv was left completely without electricity due to Russian strikes on the energy infrastructure of the region.
And Ukrzaliznytsia reported that due to the lack of voltage in the contact network, a number of suburban trains are delayed in the Chernihiv region:
