The Ministry revealed the hidden reasons why drivers massively lose cashback at gas stations, and explained how to confirm the right to a bonus for purchases.
Many Ukrainian motorists who were counting on a partial refund when refueling were faced with the lack of charges in the “Diya” application. The relevant ministry has published detailed recommendations that will help identify the cause of the failure and return the money due. The problem with cashback can be associated with both the technical settings of the bank card and the peculiarities of the operation of cash register equipment at the gas station.
How to check the card settings for cashback at the bank
First of all, the driver needs to make sure that permission to transfer transaction data for a specific card is activated in his banking application. Without this technical confirmation, information about the purchase of fuel will not be included in the payment monitoring system.
If the accruals were stable before, and then stopped, you should contact the bank’s support service. Specialists will help you clarify whether the internal profile settings have changed after the planned system updates in 2026.
Cashback accrual terms for gasoline and diesel
It is important to note that the funds are not reflected in the phone instantly after payment at the cash register. The standard regulations provide for the appearance of data in “Actions” the next day after the purchase.
What you need to know about delays in cashback accruals:
The “today” factor: if the refueling was carried out during the current day, you must wait until tomorrow.
Technical features of the gas station: due to the specifics of data transmission through the terminals of some networks, the delay can be up to 7 business days.
Recommendation on waiting: Ukrainians are advised to wait at least two days before reporting an error.
Where to complain if cashback for fuel did not arrive
If the card settings are correct, the terminal at the gas station is officially registered in the program, but the money has not arrived within a week, you need to take active actions. A special application form is provided for this.
