The Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine published information about 48 enterprises of the Russian Schwabe holding, which is part of Rostec and, according to the agency, produces weapons under the cover of medical products and is still not partially under sanctions.
This was reported by the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, informs the portal PromPolitInform.
Intelligence identified 48 enterprises of the Russian holding Schwabe, which is part of the Rostec structure. According to the DIU, these enterprises are involved in the production of weapons, while a significant part of them are not under the sanctions of any country of the sanctions coalition.
According to intelligence, under the cover of the production of medical equipment, the Schwabe holding supplies components for missiles and drones.
According to the GUR, the holding’s enterprises participate in the manufacture of:
attack and reconnaissance drones;
sighting systems for aircraft and armored vehicles;
thermal imagers;
components for ballistic missiles and guided artillery shells.
In particular, intelligence reports that 30 of the 48 enterprises of the holding are still not under sanctions. Among them:
- Moscow Sapphire Plant – produces photodiodes for Iskander-M ballistic missiles and photodetectors for Krasnopol-M2 guided projectiles;
- Central Design Bureau “Photon” – produces laser rangefinders and thermal imagers;
Germanium JSC produces germanium and its compounds for infrared optics, optical fiber, as well as for the nuclear and electronic industries.
According to the DIU, there are also foreign assets in the structure of “Schwabe,” in particular, the Chinese company SHVABE OPTO-ELECTRONICS CO., LTD and the Belarusian company “Schwabe (Minsk).” They, as noted, expand the holding’s access to technologies and components.
The DIU emphasized that Schwabe became the eighth holding, the structure of which was fully made public. In total, intelligence has already identified 553 Rostec enterprises that are involved in providing for Russia’s military needs.
