Ukrainians will continue to receive cashback of up to 15% on diesel and gasoline.
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has extended the cashback on fuel program until May 31, 2026 – the decision was made in view of the continued high fuel prices and the active use of the program by Ukrainians. This was reported by the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine, Dengi.ua reports. The PromPolitInform portal informs.
“We see that the program is working: millions of Ukrainians are already receiving cashback and are using it primarily to pay for utilities and other daily expenses,” said Deputy Minister of Economy Vitaly Kindrativ.
How much cashback can you get on fuel from May 1, 2026
From May 1, the maximum amount of compensation will be up to UAH 500 per month per user – this level corresponds to the actual accruals of most participants.
Depending on the type of fuel, the savings are:
15% – on diesel;
10% – on gasoline;
5% – on autogas.
Cashback is accrued exclusively for non-cash payments.
How many Ukrainians have already used cashback on fuel
Since the start of the program on March 20, 2026, more than 2 million Ukrainians have already received cashback. At the same time, 91% of users are owners of budget-class cars with a small engine capacity, for whom fuel costs are a significant part of the family budget.
219 gas station operators have already joined the program – from national networks to local gas stations, which makes it possible to use cashback almost throughout Ukraine. A full list of gas stations is on the “National Cashback” portal.
What can you spend the cashback on
The accrued funds can be used to:
pay for utility or postal services;
purchase medicines, books and goods of Ukrainian production;
charity – in particular, in support of the Defense Forces.
How to join the cashback program for fuel
The program is implemented as part of the state initiative “National Cashback”, which unites more than 4.8 million active users. To join:
open a card for payments at one of the partner banks;
choose cards for payment for purchases and give the bank permission to transfer transaction information;
install or update the Diya application and in the “Services” section select the card for payments “National Cashback”.
In addition to cashback for fuel, the “National Cashback” program also provides for compensation of 15% on most non-food products and 5% on food, pharmacy products and garden products.
