More than 1,100 people have to leave Nikopol region, among them 34 children.

The head of the Dnipropetrovsk OVA, Alexander Ganzha, signed an order on the mandatory evacuation of residents from certain territories of the Nikopol district due to the security situation, the  PromPolitInform portal informs.

We are talking about the evacuation from 100 streets of Nikopol, as well as from Novokievka and Ilyinka of the Marganets community and Vyshchetarasovka of the Mirovsky community.

“1,145 people have to evacuate,” Ganja said.

According to him, among them are 28 families with 34 children.

The head of the OVA noted that the evacuation will last for a month. The time and routes of departure will be agreed individually with each family.

People plan to be placed both in safer settlements of Nikopol district, and in other areas of the region or regions of Ukraine. Organizational issues and support promises to provide local authorities.

Separately, Nikopol is considering the possibility of compensating rental housing for families with children who are subject to evacuation, but want to stay in the city and move to safer areas. Deputies must submit this issue to an extraordinary session of the City Council.

Recall that preparations are underway for the evacuation of people from the occupied Oleshki. The city and surrounding communities remain without adequate access to water, food, medical care and security.
