Rescuers dismantled the rubble of the destroyed entrance for more than 28 hours after a massive attack on the capital.
In the Darnitsky district of Kyiv, a search and rescue operation was completed on the site of a residential building destroyed by a Russian strike: 24 people were killed, another 48 were injured.
This was announced by the Minister of Internal Affairs Igor Klimenko, informs the portal PromPolitInform.
According to him, the search and rescue operation lasted more than 28 hours. During this time, rescuers dismantled more than 3 thousand cubic meters of destroyed structures.
“So far, 24 deaths have been confirmed, of which 3 are children. 48 injured,” – said Klimenko.
Among the dead – three underage girls
The Kyiv city prosecutor’s office said that among the dead – three underage girls aged 12, 15 and 17 years.
“We sincerely sympathize with those who lost their loved ones! We wish recovery to all victims!” the prosecutor’s office said in a statement.
After the search operation was completed, the SES units switched to emergency recovery work.
Almost 400 people received psychological help
At the scene of the tragedy, psychologists of the State Emergency Service and the National Police assisted almost 400 people – victims and relatives of the victims.
Law enforcement officers and rescuers continue to work at the places of hits and falling debris of drones.
Damaged residential buildings, gas stations and business center
According to the prosecutor’s office, as a result of a massive combined strike by the Russian Federation on Kyiv on May 14, the following were damaged in the capital:
11 multi-storey residential buildings;
27 cars;
supermarket;
two car dealerships;
two petrol stations;
business center;
maintenance station.
The Kyiv city prosecutor’s office reported that a pre-trial investigation was launched into the fact of another war crime of the Russian Federation, which led to the death of people.
The case is being investigated by investigators of the Main Directorate of the SBU in Kyiv and the Kyiv region under Part 2 of Art. 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
May 15 in Kyiv was declared the Day of Mourning for the dead as a result of the Russian attack. The day of mourning was also announced in Kropyvnytskyi.
