The department emphasized that the Russian army may resort to another attack on Ukrainian cities in the coming days. Residents of Kyiv are advised to be especially attentive.
“Take care of your own safety and the safety of your loved ones. The Russians are in agony – they are pursuing nothing but terror and panic. It concerns absolutely everyone. But especially Kyiv,” the Defense Ministry said in a statement.
The ministry reported that the Defense Forces are on combat readiness.
“The guys and girls are in combat positions and in full readiness. They will work 1000%, be sure,” the Defense Ministry added.
As previously reported, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that Ukrainian intelligence has data on Russia preparing a new large-scale strike on the country’s territory. The head of state called on Ukrainians not to ignore air alert signals and stressed that air defense forces are working around the clock to protect Ukrainian skies.
In addition, earlier, Secretary of the Russian Security Council Sergei Shoigu said that the Russian army was allegedly capable of striking Kyiv “at any moment.” Moscow also stated the “seriousness” of the warnings to foreign diplomats and once again threatened new attacks on the Ukrainian capital.
