Ukraine will soon receive equipment from Latvia to restore damaged CHP and TPP. This was reported by Zaxid.net by Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko during her visit to Latvia on June 2. The PromPolitInform portal informs.

According to her, during today’s massive shelling, the enemy aimed not only at residential buildings, hospitals and kindergartens, but also at energy and gas infrastructure facilities. Therefore, in Riga, the prime ministers of both countries discussed increasing supplies and accelerating the transfer of necessary equipment to restore power facilities in Ukrainian cities.

“At meetings with Prime Minister Andris Kulbergs and President Edgars Rinkėvičius, preparations for signing the bilateral Drone Deal agreement, support for Ukrainian defense innovations, and exchange of experience in the fields of electronic warfare and air defense were discussed. I thanked Latvia for the decision to allocate 0.25% of GDP annually to strengthening Europe’s defense through direct support for Ukraine,” Svyrydenko added.

She also noted that Latvia is actively participating in the work of the initiative of the President of Ukraine Bring Kids Back UA and the International Coalition for the Return of Ukrainian Children.

As already written, on June 1, due to hostilities and Russian strikes on energy infrastructure, consumers in eight regions of Ukraine were partially left without electricity. The southern, eastern, and northern regions of the country were most affected.
