Russia faced a combined strike on the night of Tuesday, July 21. Lipetsk, Belgorod, Anapa, Volgograd and other cities were covered by missiles and drones, which caused fires. This is reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to OSINT channels. The PromPolitInform portal informs.
Lipetsk under missile fire
In Lipetsk, a fire broke out in the area of the CHPP at night after the missile threat was declared, one of the publics reported. The fire occurred in the area between CHPP-2 and the Novolipetsk Metallurgical Plant of NLMK.
However, whether NLMK or CHPP-2 was affected after the attack remains unclear for now.
It should be noted that the Novolipetsk Metallurgical Plant (NLMK) is the largest steel plant in Russia, which produces about 20% of all Russian steel.
According to propaganda media, the NLMK plant is engaged in the production of civilian products, but the plant buys steel, in particular, from companies specializing in the production of missiles.
However, the company claims that it “has never supplied military products to the Russian military-industrial complex,” which contradicts the information of the Ukrainian special services.
At the same time, Lipetsk CHPP-2 is one of the largest thermal power plants in the Black Earth region, providing heat to the city of Lipetsk and some industrial enterprises in the region.
The governor of the Lipetsk region, Yegor Artamonov, confirmed the attack on the region and its facilities.
Belgorod and the region, as well as Volgograd – the arrival of missiles
On the night of July 21, Belgorod, along with regional settlements and cities, also came under attack in the Russian Federation. Over the regional center and the Belgorod agglomeration, “it rained from the fragments of downed missiles,” the publicists reported.
At the same time, it is known that as a result of the attack, water supply in some parts of the city disappeared, and there are likely arrivals from the energy infrastructure.
According to the Belgorod regional headquarters, no one was injured during the missile attack on Belgorod and the district. The headquarters did not provide more information about the consequences of the attack.
Volgograd – missile danger
Residents of Volgograd reported explosions and sirens on Tuesday night, and a missile danger was declared in the region. However, it is unclear whether there was a strike or not, because nothing is known about the consequences after that.
