The Ministry for Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development of Ukraine has announced a large-scale contest for 250 interregional bus routes. Most of these routes provide transport links for frontline regions of the state.
The submission of applications from transport enterprises will last until 23:59 on August 27, 2026. The contest itself will take place on September 18, 2026, at 11:00 in a remote video conference format.
The entire selection process is carried out through the Unified Information Systems Complex in Surface Transport Safety. The procedure has been completely transferred to a digital format, ranging from submitting documents to determining the winners.
The carrier selection process has been fully digitized
“This is the largest contest for interregional bus routes under the new procedure. Holding a contest for 250 routes at once became possible precisely due to the digitalization of processes within the framework of the domestic transportation reform,” noted First Deputy Minister for Restoration, Infrastructure and Development Serhii Derkach.
The updated route network covers Kyiv, Dnipro, Odesa, Lviv, Kharkiv, Chernivtsi, Mykolaiv, Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, Poltava, Sumy, Volyn, and Zakarpattia regions. The winners of the competitive selection will receive special electronic permits to service the designated routes.
