Since the beginning of the year, units of the Defence Forces of Ukraine have neutralised over 260,000 hostile unmanned aerial vehicles. All instances of destroying the equipment have been officially verified in the DELTA combat system. This is reported by Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, the portal PromPolitInform reports.
Among the liquidated equipment of the occupiers, approximately 195,000 wing-type drones and 66,000 copters were recorded. The verification of these strikes, logged into the DELTA system, was carried out by specialists from the Innovation Development Fund of the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine.
The statistics indicate a significant increase in the effectiveness of countering hostile aerial targets over the summer. Specifically, in July, Ukrainian defenders eliminated 40,438 Russian wing-type drones, compared to 27,711 units recorded at the end of May.
A similar trend is observed in the copter segment. The number of verified neutralisations rose from 14,071 at the end of June to 19,945 units by the end of July. Such dynamics demonstrate the critical importance of technological solutions in protecting personnel and civilians.
DELTA system helps scale successful experience in countering drones
All data regarding the destruction of drones is recorded in the DELTA defence system, which serves as the digital heart of battlefield management. The system’s tools allow for a detailed analysis of the circumstances of each shootdown, enabling the rapid scaling of successful solutions to other sectors of the front.
Earlier, the defence ministry reported that since the beginning of 2026, the unmanned systems units of the Defence Forces of Ukraine had hit over one million verified enemy targets. This figure includes the elimination or severe injury of approximately 193,500 Russian servicemen.
