Representatives of the State Property Fund of Ukraine and the World Bank held a meeting on reforming state asset management. The parties focused on the bill regarding property valuation and the development of auctions for investors. Deputy Chairman of the State Property Fund of Ukraine Vitaliy Kovalenko and representatives of the World Bank held a working meeting dedicated to the management of state assets. The officials reviewed key legislative initiatives and further steps to improve this area.
The participants of the negotiations focused on bill No. 13435, which concerns the reform of the asset valuation system. In particular, they discussed new approaches to determining the value of state-owned enterprises.
The parties analyzed the impact of these innovations on the transparency and efficiency of procedures. The changes are expected to provide clearer mechanisms for evaluating state property.
Auctions and Capital Attraction
A separate item on the agenda was small-scale privatisation and increasing the effectiveness of auctions. The Fund and the World Bank discussed measures to simplify and improve property sale procedures.
Representatives of the agencies considered ways to expand opportunities for the sale of state assets. Further legislative steps to attract private investment were also discussed.
Cooperation between the agencies aims to create favorable conditions for investing in the economy of Ukraine. The SPFU continues to implement transparent rules for state asset management and the development of privatisation processes.
