According to the official, the Ukrainian side maintains a constant dialogue with Canadian partners. “Over the past year, Canadians have really been top-tier in terms of the sanctions decisions they make, both them and the British, and in fact they are the leaders over the past year in the quantity and, most importantly, the quality of sanctions decisions they elaborate,” Vladyslav Vlasiuk stated.
He added that the current packages of restrictions are formed through direct negotiations and the determination of priorities by the Ukrainian authorities. The evidence base for such decisions is also prepared with the participation of Ukraine. The official stressed that the enterprises of the Russian military-industrial complex will eventually end up under sanctions in all key global jurisdictions.
New Zealand and Australia continue participation in the sanctions coalition
Separately, the commissioner commented on the new restrictions from New Zealand, recalling its ongoing participation in the coalition of 40 states. Australia and New Zealand regularly coordinate their steps with international partners.
The official noted that these countries sometimes receive less media coverage due to their geographical location. However, their contribution to sanctions pressure on the Russian regime remains significant.
