Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Taras Vysotskyi stated that damage to retail warehouses will not lead to significant price increases or product shortages. The government is currently working on utilizing reserve storage capacities for food supplies.

Russian attacks on warehouse facilities of retail chains in Ukraine are not creating a critical situation regarding food supply for the population. This was announced by the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food, Taras Vysotskyi, during a briefing.
Although enemy shelling has caused certain logistical difficulties, a systemic shortage of goods on the market has not been recorded. The government is searching for alternative storage locations to replace the destroyed facilities.
Government looking for reserve storage areas
The minister noted that a significant portion of logistics is currently under control. Despite the need for additional financial injections, prices in stores will remain stable.
“These are definitely not the kind of costs that would suggest a price change of tens of percent — that is not the case today, and it will not be,” said Vysotskyi.
Food price situation remains stable
In some cases, goods will be delivered directly from vehicles, which allows for quick compensation of losses. The Cabinet of Ministers is conducting constant monitoring of price dynamics, which currently show no sharp fluctuations.
Restocking after the destruction of warehouses is proceeding according to plan. According to the ministry’s estimates, losses of up to 40% of products can be promptly replaced with available reserves.
