Fighters of the Special Operations Forces carried out an operation in the Oleksandrivka direction, returning the village of Andriivka-Klevtsove to Ukrainian control. During the clearance of positions, the Ukrainian military captured 30 Russian occupiers.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine (Марія Науменко) citing Syly Spetsialnykh Operatsii ZS Ukrainy, according to the portal PromPolitInform.
Russian invaders tried for a long time to gain a foothold in the settlement, gradually advancing in small groups and setting up firing positions. The liberation of the territory was carried out by operators of the 3rd SSO Regiment in cooperation with a psychological operations unit.
The course of the liberation combat operation
Footage released by the Special Operations Forces shows the ground phase of the assault. Special forces pushed the enemy out of their occupied lines, restoring control over the village.
Occupiers who refused to lay down their arms and continued to resist were eliminated. The remaining Russian soldiers surrendered.
Symbolic cleansing of the settlement
Upon completion of the fighting, the military performed the rite of “Driving out Vipers,” which is included in the National List of Elements of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Ukraine. This action carried the symbolic meaning of fully clearing the village of the Russian presence.
In the Oleksandrivka direction, ZSU have continued offensive actions throughout 2026. During this period, the Defense Forces have liberated 26 settlements, returning approximately 745 sq. km of territory to control.
