The payment sums are linked to the subsistence minimum and vary depending on the disability group
Citizens who have acquired a disability due to injuries from explosive ordnance are entitled to state financial assistance. The Pension Fund of Ukraine provides one-time compensation and annual health improvement payments. This was reported by Minfin, according to the portal PromPolitInform.
The Pension Fund of Ukraine has clarified the procedure for providing financial support to affected individuals. The right to receive payments is granted to citizens whose disability is officially confirmed as a result of exposure to explosive devices.
For minors, the link between the injury and the explosive device is established based on the conclusion of a medical advisory commission. Adults must provide documents from a medical-social expert commission or the relevant expert team responsible for assessing the person’s functional status to obtain the status.
Terms and conditions for appointment
The registration of one-time compensation is carried out through Pension Fund offices upon the application of the victim or their official representative. Legislation sets a time limit for submission — no later than 60 calendar months after the official confirmation of the causes of the disability.
To receive assistance, it is necessary to submit a package of documents, including an identity document, the taxpayer registration number, and a birth certificate (for children under 14). In cases provided for by law, decisions on guardianship or care, or documents certifying the placement of a child into family-based care forms, are attached.
Payout amounts in 2026
Financial provision is calculated based on the subsistence minimum for persons who have lost their ability to work as of January 1 of the current year. The amount of one-time assistance is as follows: for persons with disability group I and children with sub-group A disability — 12,975 UAH, for group II and other children with disabilities — 10,380 UAH, for group III — 7,785 UAH.
In addition to the one-time payment, victims can receive annual health improvement assistance. To apply, an application must be submitted by October 15, 2026. The amount of this assistance depends on the disability group: 1,038 UAH for groups I and II or children, and 908 UAH for persons with disability group III.
