President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief Headquarters. The main topic, as he reported on the Telegram channel, was the acceleration of the production of domestic means for shooting down enemy drones. The PromPolitInform portal reports.
To counter the jet “shaheeds” with which the Russian Federation attacks Ukrainian cities, the state is developing new high-speed interceptor drones and cheap missiles. Currently, domestic manufacturers have already created the corresponding prototypes, and work is underway to bring these weapons to the required level of efficiency.
During the meeting, the participants discussed the involvement of business in the production, supply and configuration of individual air defense systems. The comprehensive goal is to provide the defense industry with a sufficient number and quality of interceptors. The Head of State emphasized that Ukrainian intelligence has information about the enemy’s plans, so resources are being directed to preparing a response, in particular of an asymmetric nature, for which the relevant operations have already been approved.
