The state must act proactively and unite efforts with media and the IT sector
Head of the Office of the President Kyrylo Budanov stated that Ukraine possesses the necessary resources and a unique internal immunity to effectively counter russian propaganda. This was reported by Ukrinform, according to the portal PromPolitInform.
The adversary channels vast resources into spreading disinformation, operating bot farms, creating deepfakes, and employing manipulative technologies. This was stated by Head of the Office of the President Kyrylo Budanov following the Cognitive Influence and Resilience Forum.
The core advantage of Ukrainian society remains its resilience against falsehoods and strong horizontal ties. The official emphasized that the state possesses all capabilities to successfully protect the information space from hostile influences.
Consolidating efforts of state institutions and media
The key task at present is to coordinate the capabilities of government structures, media outlets, experts, and the IT sector to form a unified systemic mechanism. Such consolidation will enable the creation of proprietary defense instruments and countermeasures.
It is necessary not to wait for threats to materialize, but to act proactively through precise operations in the media space. The most valuable currency remains public trust and the capacity to withstand information storms through coordinated actions across all sectors.
