The Head of State approached the American leader with an initiative to involve the leader of the People's Republic of China in the diplomatic process. The Ukrainian leader expressed doubts regarding the readiness of the russian authorities for a genuine dialogue. This is reported by the portal PromPolitInform, citing the Telegram channel of Crimean Wind.
The President of Ukraine emphasized the absence of signs of a genuine desire to resolve the conflict on the part of the top leadership of the russian federation. According to him, the current position of the kremlin does not indicate any readiness for constructive and equitable negotiations on ending hostilities.
Effective influence on moscow’s stance requires a coordinated position among leading global centers of power. The Head of State stressed the vital necessity of joint pressure on the aggressor from the United States of America, European nations, and the People’s Republic of China.
Involving Beijing in international efforts to achieve peace is viewed as an important factor in shifting the balance on the diplomatic track. Western partners and Asian players must jointly demonstrate resolve in upholding international law and restoring stability in the region.
Ukraine continues to seek all possible avenues to halt russian aggression through diplomatic methods backed by the international coalition. Official Kyiv insists on maintaining unity and increasing sanctions and political pressure on the kremlin until a real negotiation process begins.
