Payments of 2,600 hryvnias cover 23,600 teachers across 614 schools
The Cabinet of Ministers has kept unchanged the monthly supplement of 2,600 hryvnias for educators in frontline areas. The payments cover 23,600 teachers working in 614 educational institutions. This is reported by the portal PromPolitInform, citing information from the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
The funds are intended for employees of general secondary education institutions who conduct classes in person or in a mixed format. The government decision will make it possible to settle payments for the time worked in the previous academic year and guarantee financing until the end of the current year.
Reallocation of Educational Resources
To preserve the payments, the Cabinet of Ministers carried out an internal redistribution of additional financial resources. This will allow for fully covering the needs of communities that experienced a shortage of funds for educators’ remuneration.
“Supporting people in frontline areas is one of the government’s key priorities,” noted Prime Minister of Ukraine Serhii Koretskyi.
