Network damage caused disruptions in services for internet providers and TV
The Cosmonova data center has halted operations following significant damage caused by a Russian strike. The team is currently working on the partial migration and restoration of services for its clients. This was reported by RBC-Ukraine (Сергій Козачук) citing Cosmonova, according to the portal PromPolitInform.
The company’s critical infrastructure sustained destruction that made the facility’s continued operation impossible. Work groups are attempting to localize the impact of the strike and gradually restore access to services.
Access to the building is currently restricted by relevant authorities, preventing company personnel from entering to assess the damage. Information regarding the status of client equipment will be provided as updates become available.
Extensive consequences of the attack on the IT sector
Russian strikes on the capital damaged the provider’s backbone network. This caused major disruptions in telecommunications and internal services, as well as the temporary loss of signal for several television channels.
Despite the critical condition of the premises, there were no injuries among the staff. The company emphasized that the integrity of client data was successfully maintained due to a previously implemented geographic redundancy system.
