Engineers will begin repair works once the security situation allows
Generating equipment at the Trypilska TPP has been damaged following a recent Russian attack. Company specialists are currently assessing the extent of the damage to begin restoration efforts. This was reported by Centrenergo, according to the portal PromPolitInform.
Russian forces have launched another strike against Ukraine’s critical infrastructure, hitting the Trypilska Thermal Power Plant. As a result of the enemy attack, the equipment used for power generation at the facility sustained damage.
Assessment of equipment technical state
Director General of PJSC Centrenergo Serhiy Isachenko stated that the primary objective currently is a detailed analysis of the damage and defining the scope of necessary restoration works. Technical personnel will commence repairs as soon as the security situation in the region permits.
Details regarding the specific consequences of the shelling are not currently being disclosed in accordance with safety protocols. The company emphasizes that it continues to operate under high-threat conditions while preparing for the upcoming autumn-winter period.
