A Russian assault trooper admitted that the 135th Regiment command sends subordinates to their deaths
Ukrainian intelligence officers intercepted a conversation involving a Russian assault trooper complaining about service conditions and leadership on the Orikhiv front. The invader openly admits that his unit is effectively being sent to its death without proper support. This is reported by the portal PromPolitInform, citing information from Defence Intelligence of Ukraine.
The recorded dialogue involves a serviceman from the 135th Regiment of the 19th Motorized Rifle Division of the Russian Armed Forces. The occupier expresses deep outrage at the actions of his superiors, who, according to him, do not provide the personnel with even drinking water while simultaneously threatening them with desertion charges.
Management crisis in the occupying unit
In a conversation with other participants of the conflict, the soldier describes his immediate commander as a careerist who disregards the lives of subordinates for the sake of career advancement. The occupier complains that the situation in the unit has become critical and that the command’s attitude toward the soldiers is extremely contemptuous.
Hopelessness on the Orikhiv front
Special attention in the interception is given to carrying out combat missions in so-called “kill zones.” The soldier notes that the order to advance to a designated point to retrieve water is a trap, as the real purpose of the military in this area is death.
The doomed soldier states that instead of achieving their set goals, their presence on the front lines amounts to nothing more than “fertilizing Ukrainian soil.” This recording confirms the low morale of Russian units and the common practice of the Russian command to throw soldiers into assaults without proper training or support.
