Electricity supply will be restricted in parts of Ukrainian regions on 8 November
Electricity consumption restrictions will be applied across parts of Ukrainian regions throughout 8 November. Scheduled power outages for residential customers will range from 1.5 to 4 stages. This is reported by the portal PromPolitInform, citing the Telegram channel of Ukrenergo.
Electricity supply restriction measures will be in effect on 8 November from 00:00 to 23:59. Power capacity limitation schedules are introduced for industrial enterprises during this period.
Hourly outage schedules will apply to all other categories of consumers throughout the day. Depending on the local situation, the scope of restrictions will range from 1.5 to 4 stages.
Reasons for Restrictions and Power Grid Status
The key reason for implementing these emergency measures is the aftermath of massive Russian strikes against Ukrainian energy infrastructure facilities.
Due to the threat of new Russian shelling, the status of the power grid may change. Citizens are advised to monitor updates and schedules on the official channels of regional distribution system operators.
Consumers are also urged to use electricity sparingly during hours when power is restored according to the schedule.
