HUR intercepted a conversation about hunger in the 150th Division of occupiers on November 7, 2026

A serviceman of the 103rd Regiment of the Russian Federation asked his commander for food due to exhaustion

The Defence Intelligence of Ukraine has released an audio recording of a conversation between Russian occupiers in Donbas. A soldier of the 150th Motorised Rifle Division stated that he had been without food for three days, but was refused by his superior. This is reported by the portal PromPolitInform, citing information from Defence Intelligence of Ukraine.

According to the information received, a soldier of the 103rd Motorised Rifle Regiment, part of the Russian Army’s 150th Division, attempted to obtain food supplies. The occupier explained that his physical condition had deteriorated due to the lack of food over three days and assured that if provided with rations, he would be able to continue his duties the next day.

Commander’s refusal to provide support

The unit commander rejected the subordinate’s request, focusing on issues of subordination and discipline. Instead of addressing logistical supply problems, he expressed dissatisfaction with the soldier’s behaviour and the content of his previous remarks.

During the dialogue, the commander stated that the situation with food shortages and problematic packages is typical for the personnel and therefore cannot be grounds for special conditions. He also reproached the subordinate for attempting to assert his own needs, comparing them to a violation of subordination rules.

Consequences for the Russian Armed Forces personnel

The released materials indicate a critical state of supply in certain units of the Russian occupation forces in the temporarily captured territories of Ukraine. Physical exhaustion and the absence of basic supplies are becoming systemic factors affecting the combat capability of enemy formations.

For Russian soldiers who find themselves in such conditions, there are mechanisms to cease participation in hostilities. The Ukrainian side offers them to use the ‘I Want to Live’ project bot for voluntary surrender, which guarantees compliance with international humanitarian law.
