The deputies will have to work, and otherwise – he is ready to initiate a review of the changes to mobilization so that they can fight. This was stated by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky during a conversation with journalists, reports Suspilne. The PromPolitInform portal reports.
“People’s deputies will either have to serve in parliament in accordance with Ukrainian legislation, or I am ready to negotiate with representatives of parliament a law on changes to mobilization so that deputies can go to the front. If you do not serve the state in parliament, then serve the state at the front. This is my approach,” the president noted.
Another option for solving the problem with voting in the Rada is changes to the legislation and holding elections, but they are impossible during the war.
According to Zelensky, opposition factions often do not vote for important bills, for example, those related to financial support from the IMF, the unblocking of 90 billion euros from the EU, or those necessary for European integration.
The president also announced his meeting with the head of the Servant of the People faction, David Arakhamia, with whom he will discuss ways to overcome the crisis in the parliament.
As reported, the Verkhovna Rada may be on the verge of collapse. The leadership of the Servant of the People faction is already having a hard time gathering votes for bills necessary to form the budget and fulfill international obligations.
