The spring meetings of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank will take place in the US from April 13-18, and a team from the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine headed by Minister Serhiy Marchenko will also travel there, the press service informs. As part of the visit, the Ukrainian delegation is expected to participate in a meeting of the G7 financial group, a series of bilateral meetings with the finance ministers of the G7 countries, the EU, the leadership of the IMF, the World Bank, the EIB. EBRD and other IFOs.
A World Bank roundtable dedicated to Ukraine will also be held. Among other things, the financial needs of Ukraine for 2026-2027, issues of rebuilding the energy system, the implementation of reforms within the framework of the cooperation program with the IMF and the launch of the Ukraine Support Loan instrument from the EU will be discussed.
As a reminder, on March 18, the IMF mission discussed tax changes with Ukrainian government officials during a visit. The expert named the main risks for the economy within the framework of the agreements with the IMF.
