In 2025, enterprises engaged in the production, transmission and distribution of electricity transferred UAH 101.6 billion to the state budget. This is UAH 14.2 billion more than in 2024, when the amount of payments amounted to UAH 87.4 billion. Thus, the total growth in tax revenues from the industry amounted to 16.2%. According to the Deputy Head of the State Tax Service of Ukraine Teodozia Chernetska, in the structure of tax payments for 2025, the main shares were distributed as follows:
value added tax amounted to 43%;
profit tax — 19.3%;
tax and levy on income of individuals — 18.5%;
other payments — 19.3%.
The indicators for individual areas of activity are as follows:
electricity production (KVED D35.11): UAH 67.8 billion (an increase of 21.2% compared to UAH 55.9 billion in 2024);
electricity distribution (KVED D35.13): UAH 16.6 billion (an increase of 12.2% compared to UAH 14.8 billion in 2024);
electricity trade (KVED D35.14): UAH 16.0 billion (an increase of 5.0% compared to UAH 15.2 billion in 2024).
We remind you that the balancing electricity market recorded an increase in debts. According to the system operator, Ukrenergo’s debt to market participants increased to UAH 30.9 billion. Since the beginning of 2026, this indicator has increased by 40%.
