Parking rates are increasing in Kyiv: what will change from April 27

From April 27, new parking rates will be introduced in Kyiv at the Kyivtransparkservice municipal enterprise sites – the cost will depend on the city zone and demand for parking spaces. The update applies to the entire municipal parking system and should affect the distribution of cars in the center and residential areas. This is reported by life.kyiv, according to the PromPolitInform portal.

This is a differentiated model, where the closer to the center and the higher the demand, the more expensive parking is. The city continues to divide the space into three zones with different rates.

How much will parking cost

The hourly cost of parking will change depending on the zone.

The following tariffs have been set in Kyiv:

Zone III — 10 UAH per hour

Zone II — 30 UAH per hour

Zone I — 40 UAH per hour

The most expensive parking traditionally remains in the central part of the city, where the load on the infrastructure is greatest.

Subscriptions: a new format for drivers

In addition to hourly payment, subscriptions are being introduced in the capital. They allow you to use parking on a permanent basis.

Cost of subscriptions:

Zone III — 299 UAH

Zone II — 999 UAH

all zones — 1499 UAH

This solution is aimed at drivers who regularly use parking lots and want to save money.

Why are the tariffs being changed

The city explains that the new system has several goals. First of all, to organize parking space and reduce chaotic parking.

It is expected that this will help:

reduce the load on central streets,

increase the turnover of parking spaces,

stimulate short-term parking,

make the system more transparent.

In fact, Kyiv is moving towards a model where parking becomes a traffic regulation tool.

What does this mean for Kyiv residents

For drivers, the new tariffs mean a change in the usual logic of using the city. Parking in the center will become more expensive, while in residential areas it will remain more accessible.

This may affect:

route choice,

parking duration,

demand for public transport.

At the same time, subscriptions provide an alternative for those who use a car every day.

The new parking tariffs in Kyiv are not only about prices, but about changing the approach to urban space. The city is trying to make parking more manageable and efficient, especially in central areas.
