Russia declared a three-day “truce” on May 8 and threatened a massive blow to Kyiv in case of non-compliance.
At the time of the “truce,” Russian troops will allegedly stop strikes on the places of deployment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and objects associated with the military-industrial complex in the depths of Ukraine.
The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation announced the introduction of a “truce” from 00:00 on May 8 to May 10 and at the same time threatened Ukraine with an “adequate response” in case of its violation.
The Russian defense department said that all groups of Russian troops in the combat zone will allegedly completely stop conducting hostilities for the period of the declared “truce.” Moscow also called on the Ukrainian side to “follow the example” and adhere to the silence regime.
At the same time, the Russian Defense Ministry said that Russian troops would give an “adequate response” in case of violation of the armistice of the Armed Forces of Ukraine or attempts to strike at settlements.
Separately, the Russian agency threatened a “massive blow to the center of Kyiv” in the event of Ukraine’s attempts to disrupt the celebration of the 81st anniversary of the victory in Moscow. The statement also warned the civilian population of Kyiv and foreign diplomats to “leave the city in a timely manner” in the event of a “retaliatory strike.”
In addition, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation said that during the “truce” Russian troops will allegedly stop strikes on the places of deployment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and objects associated with the military-industrial complex in the depths of Ukraine.
Earlier, the European Commission said that they would not change the presence of their mission in Kyiv after calls from the Russian Foreign Ministry to evacuate diplomatic personnel ahead of schedule due to a possible escalation on May 9.
