On the night of May 19, 2026, Russian troops attacked 209 strike UAVs of the Shahed type (including rocket-propelled), Gerber, Italmas and drones-imitators of the Parody type.
This was reported by the press center of the Air Force Command, informs the portal PromPolitInform.
As noted, the air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, EW units and unmanned systems, mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
How did our air defense work?
According to preliminary data, as of 08:30, 180 enemy UAVs of the Shahed, Gerber, Italmas type, imitation drones of the Parody type in the north, south and east of the country were shot down/suppressed by the air defense.
27 strike UAVs were hit at 15 locations, as well as debris fell at 5 locations.
“The attack continues, several enemy UAVs are in the air,” the Air Force said.
