Changes in admission rules in 2026. What documents are required

In 2026, the rules for accepting applicants have changed significantly. The vast majority of applicants will submit applications exclusively in a distance format. This is reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to “Education.ua”. The PromPolitInform portal informs.

How to register an electronic account

The admission campaign in 2026 will last from July 1 to October 15. To create an applicant’s account on the YEDEBO website, you must fill out an online form, indicating the following data:

Login: personal email address to which you have permanent access.

Password: for subsequent login.

Education document: series and number of certificate or diploma.

Test certificates: number, PIN code and year of receiving the NMT results (or the EVI/EFVV exam sheet).

Identity card: series and number of passport or RNOKPP (identification code) – for those who do not have an NMT certificate.

In your personal account, you must upload a color photo (up to 1 MB in .jpg format, 3×4) and current phone numbers in international format. You can change this data only before submitting the first application.

List of documents for beneficiaries

Applicants who are entitled to special conditions (benefits) must check the availability of their documents in state registers.

If there are no relevant papers in the registers, the applicant must contact the admissions committee of any higher education institution (in person or by e-mail) before submitting the first application.

This is necessary so that educational institutions can enter scanned copies of documents into the YEDEBO system and create an individual card.

Who can apply in paper form

Submitting documents in paper form (in person or remotely with a KEP overlay) is allowed only if it is impossible to create an electronic account. This applies to:

foreigners and stateless persons (except for those who have a residence permit);

applicants with foreign education documents;

holders of old education documents issued before the introduction of photopolymer technologies;

applicants who have technical discrepancies in the EDEBO data (errors in the surname, date of birth, etc.) – in this case, the account is registered through the university consultation centers.

We remind you that this list of documents is basic. Specific educational institutions may have additional internal requirements, so applicants are recommended to clarify the details in advance with the admissions committees of the selected universities.
