Since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, as of the morning of July 23, 2026 — the 1,611th day of the war — the Defense Forces of Ukraine have destroyed 28 tanks and 1,460 occupiers per day.

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as informed by the Prompolitinform portal.

It should be recalled that as of June 24, 2026, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, 12,056 tanks of the russian army had been destroyed. According to expert estimates, the value of the destroyed russian tanks exceeds $30 billion (considering old T-72s and new T-90s, with an average calculation of $2.5 million per tank).

The absolute daily record for the destruction of russian tanks was set on May 13, 2024. On that day, the General Staff reports recorded the destruction of 31 tanks in a single day, during the beginning of Russia’s renewed offensive on the Kharkiv region.

The absolute monthly record for the destruction of tanks of the russian army in Ukraine was set in October 2023, when the Defense Forces of Ukraine eliminated 439 enemy tanks. This surge in russian army losses was a consequence of fierce battles during the start of the russian offensive on Avdiivka, where the occupiers massively deployed armored vehicles in assaults.

Prior to this, the highest figures were recorded only at the very beginning of the full-scale invasion, in March and April 2022. According to analysts, the russians began using tanks for functions unusual for them at that time due to a shortage of other armored fighting vehicles (AFVs).

The total combat losses of the russian occupation army from 24.02.2022 to 23.07.2026 are estimated at:

  • Personnel – about 1,434,690 (+1,460) people

  • Tanks – 12,191 (+28) units

  • Armored fighting vehicles – 24,994 (+12) units

  • Artillery systems – 46,570 (+78) units

  • Multiple rocket launchers – 1,961 (+3) units

  • Anti-aircraft warfare systems – 1,515 (+2) units

  • Aircraft – 438 (+0) units

  • Helicopters – 354 (+0) units

  • Ground robotic complexes – 1,994 (+13) units

  • Operational-tactical level UAVs – 423,588 (+1,688) units

  • Cruise missiles – 4,936 (+3) units

  • Ships / boats – 34 (+0) units

  • Submarines – 2 (+0) units

  • Vehicles and fuel tankers – 124,243 (+541) units

  • Special equipment – 4,453 (+3) units

Glory to the warriors of the Defense Forces of Ukraine! Together we will defeat the occupiers!
