Dollar and euro rise: NBU sets exchange rate for August 11

The National Bank of Ukraine has set the official exchange rate for August 11, 2026. The dollar rose by 8 kopecks to 44.83 UAH, while the euro added 17 kopecks to reach 51.78 UAH. This is reported by RBC-Ukraine (Анастасія Мацепа). The portal PromPolitInform reports.

The National Bank of Ukraine has updated the official foreign exchange rates for the banking day of August 11. The US dollar increased in price by 8 kopecks compared to the previous day, settling at 44.83 UAH.

The European currency demonstrated a more significant growth. The euro exchange rate increased by 17 kopecks and reached the level of 51.78 UAH.

The currency market continues to be influenced by both domestic demand and external factors, particularly the situation regarding exports. An additional challenge remains the reduction of export supplies due to russian attacks on merchant vessels.

Export situation and partners support

Lower volumes of product shipments abroad lead to a decrease in the inflow of foreign currency earnings to Ukraine. This was stated by Taras Lesovyi, Director of the Financial Markets and Investment Activity Department at Globus Bank.

«Smaller exports mean a smaller inflow of foreign currency earnings to Ukraine», — noted Lesovyi.

At the same time, current risks to exchange rate stability are currently being neutralized through the receipt of international financial assistance. External funding fully compensates for the reduction in foreign currency proceeds from exports.
