The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has stopped publishing data on the number of missiles launched by Russia during air attacks. This decision was made as a security measure following massive ballistic missile strikes. This is reported by Glavcom citing Bloomberg, the portal PromPolitInform reports.
The Ukrainian Air Force has stopped publishing data on the total number of missiles used by Russian forces during air attacks. In recent reports regarding the downing of 98 out of 120 drones, information about the number of launched enemy missiles was absent.
Such changes were introduced following a recent massive strike during which the Defense Forces failed to intercept any of the 28 launched ballistic missiles. Sources indicate that the new reporting format has become a necessary security measure in response to intensified enemy shelling.
New reporting approaches introduced amid air defense equipment shortages
The Ukrainian side continues negotiations with international partners to obtain additional anti-aircraft missile systems. Special emphasis is placed on securing supplies of American Patriot systems capable of effectively destroying ballistic targets.
Throughout July 2026, Russia used 195 ballistic missiles against Ukraine, of which air defense managed to intercept only 29 units. Earlier, Head of State Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted a significant reduction in air defense missile supplies from partners this year.
