Buying a vehicle worth over 100,000 hryvnias requires notification to the Pension Fund
Housing subsidy recipients risk losing their eligibility for state aid after purchasing a vehicle. The Pension Fund of Ukraine has clarified which property operations affect the awarding of payments. This was reported by RBC-Ukraine (Юлія Капітонова), according to the portal PromPolitInform.
According to established regulations, major household expenditures within 12 months prior to the date of application are reviewed when determining subsidy eligibility. If an applicant or any family member has purchased a vehicle valued at more than 100,000 hryvnias, this becomes grounds for denial of financial support.
It is important to note that this restriction does not apply solely to direct vehicle purchases. The category of high-risk operations also includes payments related to the acquisition of property rights to vehicles, which is effectively treated as an expensive purchase.
Impact of vehicle age on subsidy eligibility
In addition to the transaction value, vehicle ownership affects payments based on age characteristics. Subsidies are not awarded if, on the first day of the month when the subsidy is to begin, the household owns a vehicle less than five years old, excluding trailers and mopeds.
Furthermore, ownership of two or more vehicles produced less than 15 years ago serves as grounds for termination or denial of benefits. Therefore, before acquiring transport, citizens should pay attention not only to the financial aspects but also to the age of their vehicle fleet.
Mandatory notification of the Pension Fund
Subsidy recipients are required to notify the Pension Fund of Ukraine of any vehicle purchase or single expenditure exceeding 100,000 hryvnias. This allows the agency to update records and verify compliance with eligibility criteria for continued assistance.
Failure to report significant changes in property status may lead to a reassessment of the right to receive further subsidies. The fund emphasizes that monitoring such transactions is part of the established procedure for determining eligibility for social protection.
