Personal visits to territorial recruitment centres are no longer required at 60 or 65
Conscripts and reservists who have reached the age limit for remaining in the reserve will now be automatically removed from military registration in the Oberih registry. Citizens are no longer required to personally visit territorial recruitment and social support centres. This is reported by the portal PromPolitInform, citing information from the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine.
The new mechanism removes the need for manual processing of such cases by recruitment centre personnel. This will reduce the administrative burden on institutions and free up resources for priority defence tasks.
Age limits and criteria for removal
The maximum age for staying in the reserve directly depends on military rank. For the majority of citizens, this threshold is 60 years, while for senior officers it is set at 65 years.
The senior officer category includes the army ranks of major general, lieutenant general, general, and brigadier general. Naval ranks in this group include commodore, rear admiral, vice admiral, and admiral.
Automated data verification process
The electronic system of the Oberih registry performs daily checks of personal records, verifying dates of birth and military ranks. Once an individual reaches the required age, their status updates automatically without manual intervention.
Any deferrals or mobilisation reservations valid at that time are cancelled simultaneously with removal from the register, as they are no longer legally necessary.
Users receive notifications about status updates in the Reserve+ mobile application. To view the updated record, individuals must refresh their electronic military registration document, after which the status will change to removed.
Handling unupdated records and past penalties
If an individual has turned 60 or 65 but the status remains unchanged in the app, they should re-authorise and refresh the document. If the issue persists, the individual must contact a territorial recruitment centre to verify that their birth date and rank are entered correctly.
Automatic removal from the registry does not cancel previously recorded violations of military registration rules. Such matters must be settled separately, including via online fine payments in the Reserve+ app or directly at recruitment centres.
Cases concerning failure to report under mobilisation orders must be handled exclusively through in-person visits to recruitment centres. In addition, any prior violation reports submitted to the National Police remain valid after age-based removal from the register.
