Leading European companies have joined the FREYJA programme
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that the state leadership is preparing an expansion of the Anti-Ballistic Coalition and working on creating effective and mass-produced defence systems. He stated this in his evening address. This was reported by Ukrinform, according to the portal PromPolitInform.
The Head of State outlined the key goals for the current year, with the primary task being the preparation of a test-ready result. According to Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the system under development must be efficient, produced on a sufficient scale, and cost less than existing global counterparts.
European Manufacturers Join the FREYJA Programme
The President confirmed the productivity of ongoing cooperation with partner governments and specialized manufacturers. He expressed gratitude to all allies for their support and noted that the most powerful European companies capable of making a real contribution to this sector are already integrated into the FREYJA initiative.
Preparation for Negotiations in the United States of America
In addition to defence matters, the Ukrainian authorities are preparing a series of meetings with partners in the United States of America. These will cover negotiations on bringing peace closer, as well as ensuring the energy and food security of the state.
New Defence Packages and Air Defence Systems
Agreements are expected on new support packages for Ukraine, which will include necessary weaponry and air defence assets. In previous statements, the Head of State emphasized that the domestic project «Freya» could form the basis for future joint European protection against ballistic threats.
