Ukrainian defenders shot down 31,000 Shahed-type strike drones
Ukrainian defenders have neutralised more than 350,000 enemy unmanned aerial vehicles since the beginning of the year. All strikes are confirmed by video evidence. This is reported by the portal PromPolitInform, citing information from the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine.
All recorded strikes on enemy drones are verified by video footage in the DELTA combat system. The verification of the data was conducted by the Brave1 defence innovation cluster.
The largest share of destroyed aerial targets is attributed to the Unmanned Systems units of the Defence Forces. They neutralised over 320,000 fixed-wing and copter-type drones.
Breakdown of Destroyed Drones by Type
Among the equipment eliminated by drone units are around 220,000 fixed-wing aircraft and 100,000 copter-type UAVs.
Additionally, mobile fire groups, army aviation, and drone units intercepted 31,000 Shahed-type strike drones. The elimination of these devices protects the lives of civilians and military personnel.
By comparison, during August alone, the Defence Forces neutralised nearly 24,000 copters. In the same month, another 35,000 fixed-wing drones were shot down.
DELTA Verification and Battlefield Impact
Confirmation of Russian UAV destruction is handled via the DELTA system, which acts as the digital core of modern battlefield management. This allows tracking every interception and scaling successful solutions across the frontline.
Downing reconnaissance and long-range aircraft prevents the enemy from conducting surveillance deep in Ukrainian territory. It stops strikes and fire adjustments against civilian and critical infrastructure.
At the same time, regular destruction of copters prevents the Russian army from identifying and targeting Ukrainian frontline positions and military equipment.
