The United States issued no directives to cut back communication capabilities
Pentagon Chief Pete Hegseth stated that the US government has not imposed restrictions on Starlink usage in Ukraine and has not altered its policy. Meanwhile, Washington aims to ensure an adequate supply of Patriot interceptor missiles for its own military. This was reported by RBC-Ukraine (Едуард Ткач) citing the Telegram channel of Clash Report, according to the portal PromPolitInform.
During a press briefing, the official addressed inquiries regarding potential limitations on the Starshield military version or the connection itself. According to him, the American side issued no directives to curtail functionality, and the manufacturer operates independently within its own terms of service.
Provision of Missile Systems
Separately, the defense department leader commented on the transfer of guided anti-aircraft missiles for air defense systems. A priority for the United States remains ensuring that American service members are fully supplied with the necessary arsenal.
The official emphasized that the Ukrainian leadership is informed about this approach to defense procurement. Previously, media reports suggested that the transfer of anti-aircraft assets was delayed due to the lack of final approval.
Frontline Situation and Communications
In recent weeks, Ukrainian units faced reduced data transmission speeds through terminals. This created additional difficulties both when deploying their own drones and while intercepting enemy strike assets.
Subsequently, the Ukrainian president discussed restoring full communication functionality with the US Secretary of State. The parties also touched upon intelligence sharing regarding ballistic weaponry and agreed to maintain ongoing dialogue.
