Power outage schedules to be introduced in Ukraine on October 22: how restrictions will apply

Consumption restrictions will be forcibly applied across Ukrainian regions due to hostile attacks

On October 22, power capacity restriction schedules for industry and hourly blackouts for all categories of consumers will be introduced in parts of Ukrainian regions. The measures will last from 06:00 to 23:59 in the amount of 1 to 2 queues due to the consequences of massive russian attacks on energy facilities. This is reported by the portal PromPolitInform, citing the Telegram channel of Ukrenergo.

Ukraine’s energy system suffered significant damage as a result of massive strikes by russian forces on critical infrastructure. Due to capacity shortages, the national company is forced to resort to controlled electricity supply restrictions.

Schedules for industry and households

Restrictions for enterprises and household consumers will operate throughout the day from morning until late evening. In particular, capacity restriction schedules for industrial enterprises are being introduced during the specified time frame to stabilize the balance.

From 1 to 2 queues of hourly blackouts will be applied for the population and other categories of consumers. This measure helps prevent large-scale emergency situations in the grid.

Operational situation and calls for savings

Experts emphasize that due to the constant threat and consequences of shelling, the situation in the energy system may change dynamically. Consumers are advised to monitor relevant information and updated schedules directly on the official pages of distribution system operators in their respective regions.

During periods when electricity supply is restored according to schedule, citizens are urged to consume electricity sparingly. This helps reduce the overall load on the grids and promotes faster stabilization of the energy system following further hostile attacks.
