In which cases allowances and payments can be reviewed after employment
Pension recipients are required to inform the Pension Fund about changes in personal data or employment status within 10 days. In case of untimely notification, overpaid funds must be returned to the budget. This was reported by RBC-Ukraine (Олена Чупровська) citing Pension Fund of Ukraine, according to the portal PromPolitInform.
According to current legislation, citizens must timely submit data on circumstances that affect the calculation of payments or the right to receive them. The established deadline for submitting such information is ten days from the moment changes occur.
List of mandatory notifications
Events that must be reported to the state institution include employment or dismissal from a position. It is also necessary to report the start or termination of entrepreneurial activity as an individual entrepreneur.
Special attention should be paid to changes in passport data, the taxpayer registration number, or a surname after marriage. Information updates are also required for events such as a change of residential address or crossing the state border to leave the country.
Consequences for working pensioners
Certain types of allowances are intended exclusively for non-working citizens, so taking a job without updating data in the registry leads to overpayments. In such situations, fund authorities demand the return of illegally received amounts in the manner prescribed by law.
A special procedure applies to recipients of length-of-service pensions if they hold positions that grant the right to such support. For the period of performing such employment duties, the accrual of money is suspended regardless of the person’s age.
Methods for submitting current data
Information can be updated during a personal visit to the nearest service center or remotely through the official web portal of the agency. To submit an electronic application, it is necessary to use a qualified electronic signature.
In the personal account, users select the appropriate category of appeals regarding pension provision to adjust the personal file. Scanned copies of documents confirming the new circumstances must be attached to the application.
