An F-16 fighter jet was scrambled to escort the violator over Palm Beach
The US military intercepted a civilian aircraft that breached a temporary flight restriction zone near the Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida. The property serves as the residence of President Trump. This was reported by Ukrinform citing NORAD, according to the portal PromPolitInform.
The incident occurred on Saturday in the airspace over the city of Palm Beach. To respond to the unauthorised entry, military commanders scrambled an F-16 fighter jet.
The military jet performed a standard manoeuvre to attract the attention of the civilian pilot. Following this action, the aircraft established radio contact with controllers.
Compliance with Directions and Airspace Exit
Upon receiving instructions from the military, the civilian pilot navigated the plane away from the restricted airspace zone.
A similar occurrence was recorded in the same area in November of last year. At that time, a US Air Force fighter jet was also deployed after a civilian aircraft entered the restricted airspace above Trump’s Palm Beach residence.
