Kyiv is ready for trilateral technical consultations in November
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy believes that reaching an agreement on an energy truce may indicate the RF's intention to end the war. The head of state emphasized his readiness for technical working groups to develop specific agreements. This was reported by Ukrinform citing Volodymyr Zelenskyy, according to the portal PromPolitInform.
In an interview, Volodymyr Zelenskyy stressed that halting attacks on energy infrastructure would serve as an indicator of the Kremlin’s willingness to rethink its approach to the war. The Ukrainian leader believes such a step could lay the foundation for future negotiations.
Format of technical talks
The President confirmed that Kyiv is open to organizing trilateral meetings involving specialized technical teams. The work of these experts must be focused on achieving measurable results solidified by official documents.
The negotiation framework currently under discussion includes the development of comprehensive agreements. Beyond energy security, key topics include the potential restoration of full maritime shipping for exports and a general roadmap for ending the armed conflict.
Preparing for dialogue
At this stage, an agreement has been reached to hold a meeting of negotiation teams representing Ukraine, the United States, and the RF. The meeting is scheduled to take place during the first half of November.
It should be noted that the President has repeatedly underscored the importance of international pressure on Moscow. Specifically, he believes that China possesses sufficient leverage to encourage the Kremlin to end the aggression.
