Russia plans massive strikes on Ukraine up to 7 times a month – 400 drones and 20 missiles at a time – Sibiga

According to intelligence, Russia plans to carry out up to seven massive attacks on Ukraine every month.

According to Interfax-Ukraine, this was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrei Sibiga, informs the portal  PromPolitInform.

“According to our intelligence, the Russians are preparing for such massive attacks in the near future. In our reality, a massive attack means at least 400 drones combined with at least 20 missiles. And they are preparing to attack us, according to intelligence, seven times a month,” Sibiga said during the ADF-Talks public discussion at the 5th Antalya Diplomatic Forum on Friday.

At the same time, Sibiga noted that as of today, Ukrainian air defense destroys up to 90% of air targets during attacks.

Recall that tonight the Russians launched one ballistic missile and 172 strike drones in Ukraine. Air defense forces neutralized almost 150 enemy targets.

Later it became known that in seven regions of Ukraine there were blackouts due to new shelling of the Russian invaders. And in Chernihiv, the local CHP stopped working.

Massive shelling on April 16

On the night of April 16, 2026, Russian troops carried out a combined attack on the territory of Ukraine using missiles and strike drones. Under attack were Kyiv, Odessa, Dnieper, Kharkov and other regions.
As of the morning it is known about at least 15 dead and more than 100 injured, the data are being specified.
In Kyiv, 4 people died, including a child. More than 50 people were injured. Podolsky and Obolonsky districts suffered the greatest damage.
In Odessa, as a result of two waves of attacks, 9 people were killed, dozens were injured. Port and residential infrastructure were damaged, a high-rise building was partially destroyed.
In the Dnieper and the region, at least 3 people were killed, there are wounded, among them children. Residential buildings, educational institutions and infrastructure facilities were damaged.
In Kharkov, due to drone strikes, civilians suffered, destruction was recorded in residential areas.
