Ukraine’s new role in the EU: Svyridenko presented an ambitious plan that will reshape the entire logistics of Europe

Despite all obstacles, Ukraine does not want to give up on integration into the European Union. That is why, step by step, we are proving to the Europeans that we have a powerful potential that will change Europe forever. Thus, during the Three Seas Initiative Summit (Triseas), which took place in Croatia, the First Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Economy of Ukraine Yulia Svyridenko presented the Via Carpathia and Rail2Sea megaprojects. Today.ua reports that she reported this on Facebook. The PromPolitInform portal reports.

This is a plan that will change the logistics map of Eastern and Central Europe.

According to Yulia Svyridenko, the role of the Triseas region (countries between the Baltic, Adriatic and Black Seas) has changed significantly over the past decade. And today, Ukraine is no longer just a partner, but an active participant, guaranteeing the stability of the entire continent.

“Ukraine is ready to be an integral part of the new security architecture of Europe,” Svyrydenko emphasized, emphasizing the success of Ukrainian naval drones, which ensured the operation of the “grain corridor”.

Currently, Kyiv is offering partners to move from declarations to specific megaprojects that will connect Ukrainian cities with key European ports:

Via Carpathia to Kyiv

This project involves the extension of the main highway of Eastern Europe, which runs through Poland, Slovakia, Hungary and Romania, directly to the capital of Ukraine. This will create the fastest route for cargo from Klaipeda to Thessaloniki.

Rail2Sea to Odessa

This is a large-scale railway initiative that should connect the Polish port of Gdansk with the port of Odessa. This will allow for the rapid transfer of military and civilian logistics between the Baltic and the Black Sea.

Vertical Gas Corridor

Ukraine is also actively working on creating capacities for reverse gas supply, which will make the region’s energy system independent of Russian manipulations.

These initiatives have not only economic, but also strategic importance – they strengthen Ukraine’s ties with the EU and make the region less vulnerable to crises.

At the same time, Kyiv is counting on opening special funding for these Ukrainian projects in the Initiative’s Investment Fund during the upcoming Polish presidency. This, according to Svyrydenko, will allow attracting billions of euros for the restoration and development of logistics hubs.

It should be noted that Ukraine’s integration into the Three Seas projects is actually accession to the EU at the economic and infrastructure levels even before the official completion of the political process. New routes to Odessa and Kyiv will turn Ukraine into a key transit hub between Europe and Asia, while strengthening the defense potential of the entire democratic world.
