Law of Ukraine No. 4851-IX (bill No. 13705-d) introduces a more automated system for pension assignment based on electronic registers. Pensions can now be granted either upon application or automatically.

This was reported by the Prompolitinform portal with reference to the website of the Verkhovna Rada.

If the necessary data already exists in state databases, requesting additional documents is prohibited. If the data is missing, the Pension Fund will notify the person and explain what needs to be provided.

The Fund will also be able to independently request information from state registers. If there is insufficient work experience, the person will be informed how to confirm it, including through court procedures.

The law allows employment periods to be counted even if the employer failed to pay contributions, provided that reporting was submitted and the accrued amounts were not below the minimum level.

If there is no data in the registers, the main document remains the employment record book, but experience can also be confirmed through other means — documents, archives, witness testimony, or a court decision.
