Moscow without Internet, air travel and cash on the eve of May 9: how Russia is preparing for the “celebration” on May 9

Moscow will “celebrate” May 9 with the Internet turned off, non-working ATMs and closed airports – all for the sake of the “security” of the parade and its organizer personally.

RBC-Ukraine has collected everything that is known about the restrictions in Moscow during the “celebration” on May 9, informs the portal PromPolitInform.

At the parade on May 9 in Moscow for the first time there will be no military equipment – this Putin, it seems, cannot afford. Several leaders of foreign states will come to the show, but most of them are from unrecognized entities or the post-Soviet space.

Confirmed participation:

self-proclaimed President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko;
Head of Kazakhstan Kassym Jomart Tokayev;
Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov;
heads of unrecognized Abkhazia and South Ossetia – Badra Gunba and Alan Gagloev;
the leader of the ruling party of Republika Srpska in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Milorad Dodik.

Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico will be in Moscow on May 9 and will meet with Kremlin boss Vladimir Putin, but he is not going to attend the parade.

Without the Internet and SMS

Mobile operators sent messages to Muscovites with a warning: from May 5 to 9, failures in the operation of the mobile Internet and SMS are possible.

“In order to ensure security measures in Moscow, temporary restrictions on the operation of the mobile Internet and SMS are possible during the preparation and holding of festive events from May 5 to 9,” the operators said in a newsletter.

The most acute restrictions are expected on May 5, 7 and 9. Will turn off:

all mobile Internet;
sending SMS;
even the so-called “white lists” – sites that are usually allowed even in Russia.

The shutdown will cover not only the center, but also the whole of Moscow within the MKAD. Operators were advised to use Wi-Fi and voice calls via VoLTE.

Taxis and all services where it was possible to pay for services non-cash also do not work.

ATMs no longer work

Many ATMs in Moscow are connected to the network via mobile communications, and not via wired Internet.

Already recorded their failures in the work. Publics even fear that there will be a shortage of money.

No airport accepts flights, the Kremlin will be under lock and key

All Moscow airports stopped working because of the Carpet plan. Flights are not accepted and do not depart.

During the “celebration,” the Kremlin will be completely closed. Tourists and visitors will not be allowed.

They are already preparing for the “celebration” – the command takes the most experienced military from near Konstantinovka to show them at the show on May 9 in Moscow.
