President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy congratulated servicemen on Infantry Day.

Holiday tradition: Established in 2019 by Decree of the President of Ukraine. It is May 6 – the Day of St. George (George the Victorious), who is considered the patron saint of soldiers.
“No matter what happens, the front line and positions of Ukraine are always exactly where our infantrymen are. The foundation of the army, all those who physically hold and restore positions. Motorized infantry, assault, mountain assault, mechanized, rifle units. Units that on earth with their strength, their actions, their resilience determine whose flag is on this earth,” the greeting says.
The President thanked each of our soldiers, all combat brigades that do their best to destroy the occupier and defend Ukraine.
“I thank everyone who gives Ukraine the necessary front-line results. Happy Infantry Day! Glory to our soldiers! Glory to Ukraine!,” – said in the greeting of Vladimir Zelensky.
The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Alexander Syrsky, congratulated the servicemen on Infantry Day.

“Today we honor the foot soldiers – soldiers of infantry, mechanized, motorized infantry, assault, mountain assault units that hold the shield of all of Europe, stopping the advance of the Russian horde. No wonder they say: the line between good and evil passes where our infantry dug in,” the greeting says.
The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine stressed that today, at these moments, Ukrainian soldiers repel dozens of Russian attacks at the front.
“Our task is to preserve the infantry as much as possible. This means – it should be given to help her with new technologies, in particular unmanned flying and ground complexes. The development and dissemination of innovations in the Armed Forces of Ukraine is my personal priority,” he stressed.
